LaToya Drake is a nutrition and food educator, community garden organizer, and longtime public servant with over a decade of experience. Drake received her Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from the University of Louisville in 2007 and recently completed her Masters of Science in Integrative and Functional Nutrition from Saybrook University (Oakland, California). Drake, a champion for children and families, has held a variety of professional service roles including residential counselor, dependency case manager, substance abuse counselor, service coordinator, and middle school nutrition liaison. Drake also serves as Board Chair for Barren River Area Safe Space. Her passion for wellness, food and, gardening have fueled her personal growth and career development. LaToya believes that all community members deserve access to fresh and healthy food. By promoting and encouraging healthy habits like consumption of locally-grown foods this movement towards personal health may radiant outwards and inspire the wellness of our entire community.
